Job description

ABOUT OUR REVENUE TEAM

Our Revenue team has two sub-teams:

  1. New Business Sales - They bring Albert to new school customers and find opportunities for customer expansions. They are measured by how much new business they win in a year.

  2. Account Management (renewal sales) - They work with school administrators to renew customer contracts, plan implementations, and conduct data-driven check-ins. They are measured by annual customer retention.

These sub-teams work closely together to provide an exceptional experience for school and district partners.

THE ROLE

As an Outbound Sales Specialist, your sole focus will be prospecting and closing district-level leads nationwide. You will create personalized outreach, build client relationships in unlicensed school districts, manage pilot implementations, drive deals to close, and execute post-sale follow-ups. You will earn commission on all outbound sales you close.

In a typical day, you can expect to do things like:

Prospect and qualify leads through cold outreach and targeted email campaigns.

Leverage our various data sources to prospect new district-level partnerships nationwide.

● Conduct discovery calls with district administrators to understand their challenges and determine if Albert is a good fit.

Lead demo calls with district administration teams.

Own and facilitate pilot implementations from the leads you source.

Create proposals and pricing explanations with customers that are ready to purchase.

● Maintain your pipeline, following up with current opportunities (including calling) and keeping updated notes and clean deal data.

BENEFITS

Competitive compensation. We observe the same pay bands, regardless of where you live. Our starting salary is $50,000-60,000 for the Outbound Sales Specialist, plus commission on your personal deals. Commission rate will vary between 20%-30% for deals you win, which is 3-4x our standard commission rate.

Health, dental, and vision insurance. We contribute 90% of the cost for our various medical insurance options and 90% for vision and dental. We contribute 50% for dependents.

Paid parental leave. Parents are eligible for up to twelve (12) weeks of fully paid parental leave after a year of service.

A 401k plan. Save for retirement with a fully managed plan and a 1% match.

Commuter benefit. Use pre-tax earnings on your commute through our managed platform.

One Medical. We cover enrollment in One Medical to provide all employees with convenient access to primary care.

Multiple FSA plans. We offer both normal and dependent care FSA plans that allow up to $650 per year in rollover of unused funds.

Flexible, guilt-free vacation. Take guilt-free vacations with no hard limit. Most people take 3-4 weeks per year and are encouraged to take time off. This is not a vague policy where "unlimited" ends up meaning "hardly ever, it's too stressful to ask for time off". We actively encourage everyone to take off.

Half-day Fridays. We value work-life balance and observe half-day Fridays every week.
